Frederick Weller's The Cat-Shaped Stone will have a private industry reading October 20 in New York City. Weller, an actor who has originated several roles for renowned American playwrights like Terrence McNally and Edward Albee, makes his playwrighting debut with the work.
The play follows three brothers who have met to handle their parents' estate, all hoping to uncover the truth about their family's strange and unsettling history.
Billy Crudup, Matthew Maher, Brian Hutchison, and Ali Marsh will star in the reading, which will be directed by Sheryl Kaller. Christie Evangelisto serves as producer.
