Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS will launch a new annual concert event, Broadway Dream Roles, April 28 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (the current home of Moulin Rouge! The Musical).
The evening will feature a mix of Broadway favorites and rising stars stepping into roles they have longed to play, but never had the opportunity to. Each performance will have a story attached, whether it's a role the artist narrowly missed, a wish never voiced aloud, or more.
Performers and special guests will be announced in the coming weeks.
The one-night-only event is produced by and benefits Broadway Cares. Tickets are exclusively available now for Broadway Cares’ benefactor groups— including Visionary Circle and Angels Circle members, the NextGen Network, and the Colleen Dewhurst Legacy Society. A limited number of tickets will be available to the general public beginning April 3 at BroadwayCares.org/dreamroles.
Other annual Broadway Cares events include Red Bucket Follies, Broadway Backwards, Broadway Bares, the Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction, and more.
