Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' Appropriate begins its transfer run at the Belasco Theatre March 25. The production previously closed March 3 at the Hayes Theater on Broadway.

The production is now playing a 13-week engagement at the Belasco Theatre, enjoying a strictly limited run through June 23.

The transfer gives the Second Stage Theater production a commercial run on the Main Stem, with Ambassador Theatre Group, Amanda Dubois, Annapurna Theatre, Bad Robot Live, Kristin Caskey, Mike Issacson, and Bee Carrozzini stepping in to produce in association with Second Stage.

Almost all of the original Broadway cast has continued with the transfer, including Sarah Paulson, Corey Stoll, Michael Esper, Natalie Gold, Graham Campbell, Alyssa Emily Marvin, Lincoln Cohen, and Everett Sobers. Ella Beatty assumes the role of River from original cast member Elle Fanning, who was unable to continue with the production due to a scheduling conflict.

Appropriate initially opened December 18 at the Hayes Theater after beginning performances November 29. The work centers on a white family who, while closing out the estate of their late father, discover some disturbing artifacts that force them to confront their family's past. The play was previously produced in 2014 Off-Broadway at Signature Theatre.

The production's fight director is UnkleDave's Fight House, the vocal coach is Kate Wilson, and the production stage manager is Barclay Stiff. Casting is by Jim Carnahan. General management is by 101 Productions, Ltd.
