Broadway’s Kyle Dean Massey, Bryonha Marie Parham, and More Sing for the Holidays in The Tappy Christmas Special | Playbill

Stage to Page Broadway’s Kyle Dean Massey, Bryonha Marie Parham, and More Sing for the Holidays in The Tappy Christmas Special The video from Tappy’s Christopher Rice evokes the old-time variety special with song and tap dance.

In this holiday YouTube special, #Tappy creator and performer Christopher Rice presents a vaudeville-style variety special full of seasonal tunes and tap dancing.

The Tappy Christmas Special opens with a chorus of Broadway ensemblists singing “We Need a Little Christmas” from Jerry Herman’s Mame. Broadway’s Kyle Dean Massey (Wicked, Pippin, Next to Normal) joins Rice for a peppy rendition of “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.”

Prince of Broadway breakout Bryonha Marie Parham brings her stellar vocals to “Man with the Bag.”

“Christmas is one of my favorite times of year. It fills me with joy and also gets my creative juices flowing,” Rice said. “Last year, I released the first Tappy Christmas Special that featured Beth Leavel, Lesli Margherita, Mara Davi, and Elosie Kropp. We had so much fun putting it together last year that I knew I wanted to create another one in 2017!” Watch last year’s special here.
