A host of Broadway stars are set to perform and appear at Manhattan Theater Club's annual spring gala, set for May 20 at the Cipriani 42nd Street. Festivities will begin with cocktails at 7:00 PM.
The evening will include performances from the casts of Broadway's Cabaret, Days of Wine and Roses, The Great Gatsby, The Notebook, The Outsiders, The Who's Tommy, and Water For Elephants, plus special guest appearances from 2024 Tony nominees Rachel McAdams, Jocelyn Bioh, Betsy Aidem, Whitney White, and more.
Proceeds from the annual event will fund MTC's productions, as well as its Artistic Development and Education programs.
The not-for-profit theatre's current season includes Amy Herzog's Mary Jane, which is now running on Broadway; Jaja’s African Hair Braiding; and Prayer for the French Republic, all of which received 2024 Tony nominations for Best Play. The season's Off-Broadway productions include Poor Yella Rednecks and Brooklyn Laundry.
The gala co-chairs are Marie T. Gallagher and Thomas F. Secunda. The creative team includes music director Jason Michael Webb, lighting designer Joel Shier, sound designer Leon Rothenberg, and stage managers James FitzSimmons and Jereme Kyle Lewis.
