As a part of its 22-month Gershwin Centennial Project, New York's Carnegie Hall will present the 1925 George and Ira Gershwin musical Tip-Toes May 13-17, 1998 in the Weill Recital Hall.

No cast has been announced yet, but will be led by music director Rob Fisher.

Originally produced by Alex Aarons and Vinton Freedley, Tip Toes opened December 28, 1925 at Broadway's Liberty Theatre where it played 194 performances. The musical comedy featured Queenie Smith, Jeanette MacDonald, Allen Kearns, and Robert Halliday and included such songs as “Looking for the Boy”, “When Do We Dance?”, “These Charming People”, “That Certain Feeling”, and “Sweet and Low-Down”. Eight songs from the score were recorded by Dorothy Dickson, Allen Kearns, and Laddie Cliff in 1926.

The last New York revival of Tip-Toes was in the 1979-80 season when the Goodspeed Opera House company performed the show at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
