French singer Charles Aznavour's five-stop North American tour opens at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York October 15.

The 92-year-old tenor, who has been singing professionally since 1946, has played five solo concerts on Broadway, dating back to The World of Charles Aznavour in 1965. His last Broadway appearance was Aznavour in 1998.

Here are the planned tour stops:

October 15 at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City
October 18 in Boston
October 21 in Montreal
October 25 in Miami
October 28 at the Pantages Theatre, Hollywood

Among the more than 1,000 songs Aznavour wrote and/or composed, his international hits include “Yesterday When I Was Young,” “What Makes a Man,” “She,” "Tomorrow Is My Turn," “Esperanza,” “I Didn't See the Time Go By” and “To My Daughter.”

He has also appeared or had his songs featured in dozens of French films.
