Westway Music's Monday-night Westway Sessions concert series at London's Vaudeville Theatre will continue April 21 with West End favorite Kerry Ellis.
Ellis, recently seen in the If/Then concerts at the Savoy, will look back at her theatrical career with songs and stories in an evening titled Queen of the West End.
Attendees can expect to hear such tunes as "Kings and Queens," "On The Street Where You Live/I Could Have Danced All Night," "Tomorrow," "I Dreamed a Dream," a Queen medley, "Defying Gravity," a Greatest Showman medley, and "The Way We Were."

Ellis, the first British Elphaba in the long-running London production of Wicked (who later reprised the role for Broadway audiences), says in a statement, “I am so thrilled to be bringing my newest show, Queen of the West End, into London at the beautiful Vaudeville Theatre, home to six other West End Queens! We had such a great time last year playing at over 40 venues across the U.K., and now I can't wait to be singing and chatting about my life and career with you all. I am so proud of my book [also titled Queen of the West End], and now I get to actually tell the stories and sing those songs that have shaped my theatre life live on stage.”
Ellis, who originated the role of Meat in Queen’s We Will Rock You, has also been seen in the West End as Grizabella in Cats, Nancy in Oliver!, Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, Ellen in Miss Saigon, Fantine in Les Misérables, Sara in Murder Ballad, and Alice in Wonderland. In 2022 she starred as Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes at the Barbican and also played a recent stint in the U.K. and Ireland tour of 101 Dalmatians The Musical. Her newest solo recording is titled Kings and Queens.
The concert series will continue April 7 with Cassidy Jansen and June 23 with Aimie Atkinson.
