News Colman Domingo’s Dot Begins Performances at the Vineyard Tonight Preview performances begin Feb. 4 for the Vineyard Theatre's Off-Broadway premiere of Dot, Colman Domingo's family drama, directed by multiple Tony winner Susan Stroman.

The cast also features Colin Hanlon, Stephen Conrad Moore, Libya V. Pugh, Michael Rosen, Finnerty Steeves and Sharon Washington

Here's how the Vineyard bills the new work: "The holidays are always a wild family affair at the Shealy house. But this year, Dotty and her three grown children gather with more than exchanging presents on their minds. As Dotty struggles to hold on to her memory, her children must fight to balance care for their mother and care for themselves. This twisted and hilarious new play grapples unflinchingly with aging parents, midlife crises, and the heart of a West Philly neighborhood."

The production reunites Stroman and Domingo at the Vineyard following their work on the acclaimed John Kander and Fred Ebb musical The Scottsboro Boys, also starring Domingo.

The creative team includes set design by Allen Moyer, costume design by Kara Harmon, lighting design by Ben Stanton, sound design by Tom Morse and hair and makeup design by Dave Bova. Casting is by Henry Russell Bergstein, CSA.
