Stage and screen star Cynthia Nixon, currently appearing in The Seven Year Disappear via The New Group Off-Broadway, is the inaugural guest on The After Party, a new podcast from Broadway Podcast Network that explores the process of getting to opening night on Broadway and beyond. The new series, hosted by Eila Mell and Michael Kushner, is now available wherever podcasts are.
Nixon discusses creating her character in The Seven Year Disappear, which is performing at The Pershing Square Signature Center through March 31.

Upcoming episodes will feature The Who's Tommy star Ali Louis Bourzgui, producer Rachel Sussman (Suffs, Parade), and more.
“In my podcast Dear Multi-Hyphenate, I get to speak with very specific artists about a very specific theatre business topic, and I don't often get to discuss Broadway history or get geeky about flops, special performances, and the juicy you-shoulda-been-there moments," says Kushner in a statement. "When Eila reached out about creating this podcast, it was an immediate yes because it is scratching an itch I've had for a long time. I know the audience is going to love what we're coming up with because if I heard this podcast as a listener, I would, too."
“We created this podcast as a way for people to do a deep dive into the shows they’ve just seen with the people involved in making them,” adds Mell.
