The 95th Annual Academy Awards will be held March 10 in Los Angeles.

Start spreading the news! The 2024 Academy Award Nominations were released January 23, and theatrical talent of every shape and size has been recognized.

The Leonard Bernstein biopic Maestro had a marvelous showing, bringing in nominations for Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Sound, Best Actor for Bradley Cooper, and Best Actress for Carey Mulligan.

The acting categories are particularly stacked with familiar Broadway faces this year, with Cooper being joined by Colman Domingo for his work in Rustin, Paul Giamatti for his work in The Holdovers, and Jeffrey Wright for his work in American Fiction. Mulligan is joined by Annette Benning for her work in Nyad, and Emma Stone for her work in Poor Things.

In the featured performance categories, Sterling K. Brown was nominated for his performance in American Fiction, as was Mark Ruffalo for his performance in Poor Things. Tony nominees Danielle Brooks and Da'Vine Joy Randolph also brought in nominations, for the movie musical of The Color Purple, and The Holdovers, respectively.

The 96th Annual Academy Awards will be held March 10 in Los Angeles, and will be broadcast on ABC at 8 PM ET (check local listings).
