Dog Man: The Musical officially opens its triumphant return Off-Broadway via TheatreWorks USA at New World Stages March 13. The limited run, which began March 4, is scheduled to continue through April 30.

Starring are DeShawn Bowens (Mean Girls), L.R. Davidson (Follies), Martin Landry (Only Murders in the Building, Between The Lines), Jamie LaVerdiere (Motown The Musical), Marcus Montgomery (The Burdens), Brian Owen (Chains), Dan Rosales (Trevor), Crystal Sha’nae (Dog Man), and Markia Nicole Smith (School Girls; Or The African Mean Girls Play).

Based on Dav Pilkey's book series, the musical features a book and lyrics by current Some Like It Hot star Kevin Del Aguila and music by Brad Alexander. Jen Wineman directs and choreographs the Off-Broadway return, leading a creative team that includes scenic designer Timothy R. Mackabee, costume designer Heidi Leigh Hanson, lighting designer David Lander, sound designer Emma Wilk, and orchestrator Lloyd Kikoler. William Spinnato is production stage manager.

The musical debuted as part of TWUSA’s Family Summer Theater program in 2019.
