Tony Award winner Duncan Sheik and Suzanne Vega, who collaborated on the 2011 Off-Broadway musical Carson McCullers Talks About Love, will perform in concert September 25 at 5 PM at the Sands Point Preserve Conservancy on Long Island.
Vega is planning to release an album of songs from Carson McCullers Talks About Love later this fall. The musical has been reworked as Lover, Beloved: An Evening with Carson McCullers, and was recently workshopped at the Alley Theatre in Houston, TX.
Songs from the album will be performed during the concert.
Prior to the concert, guests are invited to explore the preserve’s historic mansions and wooded trails during the afternoon, bring picnic dinners, and settle onto blankets for the concert.
