Additional casting has been revealed for the American Repertory Theater production of Tennessee Williams’ 1961 drama Night of the Iguana, which will star the previously announced James Earl Jones.
Directed by Michael Wilson, the cast will also feature Tony Award winners Amanda Plummer (The Glass Menagerie) and Elizabeth Ashley (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof), as well as Remo Airaldi and Bill Heck.
Performances run February 18–March 18.
Night of the Iguana, according to A.R.T, “follows a hotel proprietress and the scandal-soaked Southern preacher who turns up on her veranda. A Nantucket portrait artist traveling with her ancient grandfather, a bus full of fuming Texan college administrators, and a party of vacationers collide in this drama about how far we travel to outrun the demons within.”
Tickets for The Night of the Iguana are currently available only with A.R.T. subscriptions.
The play will be performed at the Loeb Drama Center, 64 Brattle St., Cambridge, Massachusetts. Tickets can be ordered by phone at (617) 547-8300. Visit americanrepertorytheater.org.
