Grande is scheduled to stay with the production through Jan. 18, 2015.
"Ever since my first role on Broadway, I have dreamed of playing Franz. I couldn't be more excited to finally get this opportunity, especially alongside this incredible cast," Grande said in an earlier statement.
“We are beyond thrilled to have Frankie return to Broadway and join the cast of Rock of Ages,” added producer Scott Prisand. “With his exceptional, triple-threat talent and effervescent personality, he is the perfect match for our show and the role of the hilarious and endearing Franz.”
As previously reported, Tony nominee Constantine Maroulis has extended his return engagement as Drew through Jan. 18, 2015. Lauren Zakrin joined the company, making her Broadway debut in the lead role of Sherrie, Nov. 3. YouTube sensation Chester See is Stacee Jaxx.
Songs included in the musical are “I Wanna Know What Love Is," “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” “Wanted Dead Or Alive,” “Here I Go Again,” “Don’t Stop Believin” and more.
