Following successful Edinburgh Festival Fringe runs this year, two shows will transfer for a short run in the West End. Lauryn Redding's Bloody Elle and Declan Bennett's Boy Out the City will play the Lyric Theatre September 27–30.
Billed as "A Queer Season in the West End," the Fringe hits are presented by Paul Taylor-Mills, artistic director of both The Turbine Theatre at The Battersea Power Station and The Other Palace Theatre. Each show will play one performance on each of the four days.
Bennett (Moulin Rouge) takes on toxic masculinity, homophobia, and men’s mental health in Boy Out the City. Written and performed by Bennett, the show was developed with and directed by Nancy Sullivan. It premiered in 2021 at Westival Music and Arts Festival followed by a London premiere at the Turbine Theatre. Lauren Reed Productions produces.

Bloody Elle is written and performed by Redding and directed by Bryony Shanahan. The girl-meets-girl gig musical premiered in 2021 at The Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester. It is being produced with Traverse Theatre, Cloudrise Productions, and Royal Exchange Theatre.
