Are you done freaking out about the Wicked trailer? We've got another one for you!
Hugh Jackman may be a two-time Tony recipient, but his unique career has long seen him straddling the world of musical theatre song and dance man, and big-screen superhero. The Music Man star is back to the latter, poised to be Wolverine again in Marvel's upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine. Watch the first trailer for the film above. Jackman's appearance is brief, but we'll take it.
Deadpool & Wolverine is scheduled to hit movie theatres July 26. Beyond being a sequel to 2016's Deadpool and 2018's Deadpool 2—to not even mention the 34th film within the Marvel Cinematic Universe—not much is known about the upcoming film. The performance will be Jackman's first as Wolverine since 2017's Logan. He's also taken on the role in The Wolverine, X-Men: Days of Future Past, X-Men: First Class, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, X-Men: The Last Stand, X2, and X-Men.
Jackman last appeared on Broadway as Professor Harold Hill in the 2022 revival of The Music Man, for which he received a Tony Award nomination. He made his debut in 2003's The Boy From Oz, singing and dancing as singer-songwriter Peter Allen in the jukebox biomusical that earned him his first Tony Award. Jackman also starred as Curly in the 1998 West End revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma!, which was later filmed with Jackman reprising his performance.
