News Geoffrey Nauffts' Next Fall to Receive U.K. Premiere; Casting Complete Geoffrey Nauffts' 2010 Tony-nominated play Next Fall is to receive its U.K. premiere at London's Southwark Playhouse, beginning performances Sept. 24 prior to an official opening Sept. 29, for a run through Oct. 25.

Charlie Condou will star as Adam, and Martin Delaney will play Luke in the play that portrays the ups and downs in their long-term relationship and how they make it work, despite their differences. Luke is devoutly religious, while Adam is an atheist. However, following an unexpected accident which changes everything, Adam must turn to Luke’s family and friends for support and answers.



The production will be directed by Luke Sheppard, recently represented at Southwark Playhouse by his production of In the Heights. It is produced by James Quaife Productions and David Adkin Limited. The original Broadway production was produced by Elton John, David Funish and others.



Condou is best known for playing series regular Marcus Dent in ITV's "Coronation Street." Previous theatre credits include Dying for It (Almeida Theatre) and The Changeling (Southwark Playhouse).



Delaney has been seen in The Ministry of Pleasure (Latchmere Theatre), Local Boy (Hampstead Theatre), Oliver! (West End) and Peter Pan (Cambridge Theatre). On TV he was young Da Vinci in "Da Vinci’s Demons." On film he was in "Zero Dark Thirty," directed by Kathryn Bigelow, "Flags of Our Fathers," directed by Clint Eastwood, and he had the lead in Judas Ghost. He will be seen next as Tony in "Amar, Akbar & Tony," a film produced by Victoria Wood.



Also in the cast are Nancy Crane, Ben Cura, Mitchell Mullen and Sirine Saba.

The production will feature designs by David Woodhead, with lighting by Howard Hudson, sound by David Gregory and casting by Sophie Parrott.
