News Guys and Dolls Opens in London Tonight The West End transfer of Guys and Dolls, first seen at Chichester Festival Theatre in summer 2014, officially opens Jan. 6 at the West End's Savoy Theatre, following previews that began Dec. 10, 2015, for a limited 13-week run through March 12 only.

Sophie Thompson and Jamie Parker are reprising their Chichester roles as Miss Adelaide and Sky Masterson, respectively, newly joined by David Haig as Nathan Detroit and Siubhan Harrison as Sarah Brown. (Guys and Dolls reunites Thompson and Haig for the first time since their comic pairing as bride and groom, Lydia and Bernard, in the British film comedy "Four Weddings and a Funeral.")

Thompson's previous theatre credits include an Olivier Award-winning performance in Into the Woods at the Donmar Warehouse, where she has also appeared in The Physicists and Company. Elsewhere her credits include She Stoops to Conquer at the National Theatre and Clybourne Park at the Royal Court and West End.



Parker was seen last summer as Mike Connor in High Society at The Old Vic. He was part of the original line-up of The History Boys (National Theatre and Broadway, also the film version), and appeared in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead (Chichester and West End) and Henry V, Henry IV Part I, Henry IV Part 2 and As You Like Like It (all for Shakespeare's Globe).

Haig was seen last summer in Someone Who'll Watch Over Me at Chichester's Minerva Theatre. He has also appeared at Chichester in Yes, Prime Minister that transferred to the West End. Other West End appearances include The Madness of George III, Mary Poppins, Hitchcock Blonde and Art (appearing in the latter on Broadway as well). He won the Olivier Actor for Best Actor in Our Country's Good at the Royal Court.

Harrison has been seen in the West End in From Here to Eternity, Grease and We Will Rock You and at the National Theatre in Earthquakes in London. Completing the cast are Lucy Jane Adcock, Abigail Brodie, Cornelius Clarke, Momar Diagne, Lavinia Fitzpatrick, Lorna Gale, Nic Greenshields, Selina Hamilton, Ian Hughes, Frankie Jenna, Jacob Maynard, Neil McCaul, Genevieve Nicole, William Oxborrow, Max Parker, Carl Patrick, James Revell, Giovanni Spano, Gavin Spokes, Jonathan Stewart, Lucie Mae Sumner and Liam Wrate.

The production is directed by Gordon Greenberg, with choreography by Carlos Acosta and Andrew Wright. It is designed by Peter McKintosh, with lighting by Tim Mitchell and sound by Paul Groothuis. Musical supervision, musical direction and dance arrangements are by Gareth Valentine with Larry Blank as orchestrator. The casting director is Pippa Ailion.

The Chichester Festival Theatre production of Guys and Dolls is produced in the West End by Tristan Baker and Charlie Parsons for Runaway Entertainment, Oliver Royds for BOS Productions, Richard Darbourne Ltd. and Tulchin Bartner Productions.
