Kimberly Belflower's new play John Proctor is the Villain, which will premiere on Broadway later this spring, has revealed its rush and lottery policy. Directed by Tony winner Danya Taymor (The Outsiders), performances begin March 20 at the Booth Theatre. Opening night will be April 14.

Fans will have a chance at $29 tickets in the first four rows of the theatre's orchestra level during previews as a part of the production's "Enter Your Villain Era" preview special. Accepting entries through March 3, the contest will notify winners for all preview performances contacted March 4 at 10 AM ET.

In addition to the preview special, John Proctor is the Villain will have a digital Telecharge lottery available for entry at 12 AM ET one day before each performance. Winners will be drawn the same day at 10 AM and 3 PM, and may buy up to 2 tickets at $45 each.

For those looking for a bit more than lottery luck, the show will also host a digital rush that begins at 11 AM the day of each performance via Telecharge. More tickets may become available throughout the day. Rush ends 30 minutes before curtain, and each person may buy up to 2 tickets at $40 each. General rush tickets will also be available day-of at the Booth Theatre box office, which is open Monday-Saturday 10 AM-6 PM and Sunday from 12-6 PM. Tickets are subject to daily availability. Each person may buy up to 2 tickets at $40 each.

Stranger Things and The Whale star Sadie Sink will lead the production, with Nihar Duvvuri (Romeo + Juliet) as Mason Adams, Tony winner Gabriel Ebert (Matilda) as Carter Smith, Molly Griggs (Hello, Dolly!) as Bailey Gallagher, Maggie Kuntz (The Outsiders) as Ivy Watkins, Hagan Oliveras (Our Town) as Lee Turner, Morgan Scott (Jaja’s African Hair Braiding) as Nell Shaw, Fina Strazza (Matilda) as Beth Powell, and Amalia Yoo (No Hard Feelings) as Raelynn Nix. The production understudies will be Noah Pacht, Fiona Robberson, Shian Tomlinson, Garrett Young, and Victoria Vourkoutiotis.

The work, a modern reexamination of Arthur Miller's The Crucible set at a rural Georgia high school, was commissioned by The Farm Theater in 2017. Following workshops at Farm Theater and Ojai Playwrights Conference, the play premiered at Centre College in 2018, and has since been produced at Furman University, Rollins College, Washington D.C.'s Studio Theatre, and Boston's Huntington.

Taymor's creative team will include scenic designer AMP featuring Teresa Williams, costume designer Sarah Laux, lighting designer Natasha Katz, sound designer Palmer Hefferan, projection designer Hannah Wasileski, movement director Tilly Evans-Krueger, hair, wig and make-up design by J. Jared Janas, and intimacy coordinator Ann James. Gigi Buffington will serve as voice and dialect coach. Casting is by Taylor Williams.

Sue Wagner, John Johnson, John Mara Jr., Runyonland, and Eric Falkenstein are producing.
