Immersive Everywhere's The Great Gatsby—The Immersive Show will play its final performance on Sunday August 27. The production opened at the Park Central Hotel New York on June 25. The hotel's ballroom was transformed into The Gatsby Mansion, where theatregoers watched the story unfold up close, explored the mansion's rooms, and interacted with the characters.

"And we look forward to hosting more spectacular entertainment, fabulous deco parties, big band music, and favorite DJs in our after-hours nightspot at the unique Gatsby Mansion space in the Fall.”
A future venue has not yet been announced for the show. When the immersive Gatsby closes August 27, it will have played 20 previews and 68 regular performances.
If the Immersive Great Gatsby comes back in the fall, it will be the second show based on the Fitzgerald's novel to be playing in the tristate area. The Paper Mill Playhouse musical version, starring Jeremy Jordan and Eva Noblezada, will run October 12–November 12. Then in 2024, another musical version with music by Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine, lyrics by Thomas Bartlett, and a book by Martyna Majok is set to premiere at Massachusetts' American Repertory Theatre.

The cast of the immersive Great Gatsby include Joél Acosta (Aloha Boricua) plays Jay Gatsby, with Rob Brinkmann (Oklahoma!) as Nick Carraway, Jillian Anne Abaya (Asleep, Awake) as Daisy Buchanan, and Shahzeb Hussain (Tammany Hall) as Tom Buchanan.
Rounding out the company are Stephanie Rocío (Hurts to Hate You A Little) as Jordan Baker, Keivon Akbari (Tosca Tehran) as George Wilson, Claire Saunders (Importance of Being Earnest) as Myrtle Wilson, Nicholas Caycedo (Good Morning New York) as Joey, Kiki Burns (Legally Blonde) as Lucille, Charlie Marcus (A Bronx Tale The Musical) as Meyer Wolfsheim, Jeremiah Ginn (Murder For Two) as Owl Eyes, Stephanie Cha (Mr. Holland’s Opus) as Kitty Klipspringer, musical artist Anika Braganza of The Braganza Sisters as Gilda, and Mya Rosado-Tran as Charlie McKee.
The production is adapted and directed by Alexander Wright, with a creative and design team including Tara Ocon (Resident Director), Holly Beasley- Garrigan (Choreographer), Casey Jay Andrews (Set Design), Shoko Kambara (US Art Director), Faye Armon-Troncoso & Lauren Helpern, Butter Designs (Set Decoration & Props), Jeff Croiter (Lighting Design), Phil Grainger (UK Sound Design), Peter Fitzgerald (US Sound Design), Vanessa Leuck (Costume Design), Tom Schall (Fight Director), Claire McKenzie (Music Director) and The Casting Collaborative - Jason Styres & Gregory Jafari Van Acker (Casting). The original score was composed and produced by Glen Andrew Brown and Tendai Humphrey Sitima, with arrangements and additional composition by David Sims.
Wright and producer Brian Hook conceived the immersive adaptation of Gatsby in 2015 in York at The Fleeting Arms. It made its London premiere as part of the VAULT festival in 2019 and has subsequently played Dublin, Brussels, and Seoul. The show ran in London for five years and closed there this past January.
