Off-Broadway's Houses on the Moon theatre company has announced their 2024 Amplify Gala will be held October 7 at 6:30 PM at The Green Room 42. The event will honor Reggie Van Lee and this year’s Mauricio Leyton Award recipients Modesto “Flako” Jimenez and Sarita Covington.
The evening will include performances from Tony and Grammy winner Jennifer Holliday, Grammy winner J'Nai Bridges, and Hell's Kitchen cast member Rema Webb, the latter of whom will perform songs from the Alicia Keys biomusical.
"We are beyond thrilled to have Jennifer Holliday and J’Nai Bridges, two award-winning artists, perform at our AMPLIFY 2024 Gala Celebration," Houses on the Moon co-founder and Artistic Director Emily Joy Wiener said in a statement. "Honoring the extraordinary Reggie Van Lee, and celebrating the important work of gifted artists Modesto “Flako” Jimenez and Sarita Covington aligns perfectly with our mission of amplifying unheard voices. This special event promises to be a night of powerful performances and inspiring stories, and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with our community."
