Off-Broadway News John Yearley's Triptych Will Get World Premiere at The Barrow Group

Eric Paeper will direct the new play, which will perform at the Off-Broadway company in November.

The Barrow Group will give a world premiere to a new play from John Yearley (The Unrepeatable Moment), titled Triptych. Eric Paeper will direct, with performances running November 8-29 at the Barrow Group's Studio Theater. Opening night will be November 9.

The work follows a couple navigating a personal tragedy, dealing with grief in some pretty unusual ways. Tricia Alexandro and Michael Giese will star.

“The Barrow Group has been my creative home for over a decade and I'm so grateful for the support they’ve given me," says Yearley in a statement. "I think the way we talk about things like grief and a good marriage are often asinine. People here talk about ‘healing’ and ‘closure’ in a way that is often totally dismissive of the actual experience of profound loss. And they don't think that a marriage that goes through deep pain and loss can be good. I'm hoping, in my own small small way, that my play improves the conversation around two things.”

The creative team also includes lighting designer Daisy Long, sound designer Kyle Jensen, production designer Paeper, and line producer Christine Cirker.

Tickets are available at BarrowGroup.org.
