An invitation-only industry reading of Raffael Pacitti's Mister Halston, exploring the life and times of famed American fashion designer Halston, will be presented January 17, 2025, at Cooper Square.
Ken Barnett (Fun Home, Wonderful Town, The Green Bird) will play the late designer in the solo show. Kimberly Senior directs.
The play, set in 1987, is a fictionalized version of the interview that led to a seminal New York Times article about the legendary designer.
Mister Halston had a sold-out run at New York’s United Solo Festival, where it earned three Festival Awards, including Best Actor for Barnett. The upcoming reading precedes an expected 2025 New York commercial run.
