Stranger Things: The First Shadow and Everybody's Talking About Jamie star Max Harwood will star as Percy Jackson in the upcoming London premiere of The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, set to take the stage at The Other Palace November 23. Performances will continue through February 2, 2025. Further casting is to be announced.

Adapted from Rick Riordan's book series, the musical features a book by Joe Tracz and songs by Rob Rokicki. Bill Kenwright Ltd and Paul Taylor-Mills are presenting the London bow, directed and choreographed by Lizzi Gee (Groundhod Day).

The rock musical follows teenager Percy Jackson, who discovers he's the half-blood son of Greek god Poseidon. The musical was originally developed by TheatreWorks USA as an hour-long musical for young audiences, with the full-length version debuting Off-Broadway in 2017. Following a U.S. tour, the musical got a brief Broadway run in 2019. This upcoming staging is not a remount of the U.S. productions.
