Michael Shannon (Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, Long Day's Journey into Night) and Sophia Lillis (It, Dungeons & Dragons) will star in an industry reading of David Meyers' new play We Will Not Be Silent November 13.
Lucille Lortel Award winner Dexter Bullard will direct. Joining Shannon and Lillis will be Colin Bates and Ella Dershowitz.
The play, which premiered at The Contemporary Theatre Festival in West Virginia, tells the true story of Sophie Scholl and the White Rose, a group of German college students who led a public resistance to the Nazis during World War II.
We Will Not Be Silent has previously been seen in Florida, Seattle, and Massachusetts.
