Mimi Quillin's Call Fosse at the Minskoff will premiere as part of Vassar College's 37th Powerhouse Theatre season. The solo play, written by and starring Quillin, recounts the dancer's experience working with Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon on their final collaboration, a revival of Sweet Charity. Michael Berresse will direct.
The Powerhouse Theater season offers musical and play workshops, readings, and performances every summer, with this year's 37th season running through July 30. Call Fosse at the Minskoff will perform from July 20 through July 23.
The play features set design by Tim Mackabee, lighting design by Robert J. Aguilar, costume design by Claudia Brown, and sound design by Joanna Lynne Staub. Anika Chapin provides dramaturgy. Michal Mendelson serves as stage manager and Reilly Horan serves as production stage manager. Call Fosse at the Minskoff is developed and produced by The Fabulous Invalid (Jamie DuMont and Rob Russo) and Stop the Wind Theatricals (Carol Ostrow).
