The announcement came on the second anniversary of the show's opening on Broadway.
The touring company is currently enjoying a sold-out run in Chicago through Feb. 21.
Joining Abby Mueller in the title role, the touring cast of Beautiful features Liam Tobin as Gerry Goffin, Becky Gulsvig as Cynthia Weil’ Ben Fankhauser as Barry Mann, Curt Bouril as Don Kirshner, Suzanne Grodner as Genie Klein, and an ensemble that includes Mark Banik, Ashley Blanchet, Sarah Bockel, Andrew Brewer, Britney Coleman, Rebecca Covington, Josh A. Dawson, John Michael Dias, Ryan Farnsworth, Rosharra Francis, Jay McKenzie, Aliana Mills, Paris Nix, Noah Ricketts, Nasia Thomas, Salisha Thomas, Delaney Westfall and Dashaun Young.
Abby Mueller (Broadway's Kinky Boots) is the sister of Jessie Mueller, who won the Tony Award in 2014 for Best Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of King in the show's Broadway production.
