Casting is now complete for the Barrington Stage Company's upcoming production of Kander and Ebb's Cabaret, set to run at the Massachusetts theatre June 14–July 8.

As previously reported, the company will be led by Krysta Rodriguez (The Collaboration, Spring Awakening) as Sally Bowles, Alysha Umphress (On the Town, Mr. Saturday Night at BSC) as Fraulein Kost, and Richard Kline (Three's Company, Waitress) as Herr Schultz.

Newly announced for the production are Nik Alexander (Ain’t No Mo') as the Emcee, Dan Amboyer (Younger) as Cliff Bradshaw, Candy Buckley (Cabaret) as Fraulein Schneider, and Tom Story (Berkshire's Arsenic and Old Lace) as Ernst Ludwig with ensemble members Julia Harnett, Kimberly Hudman, Evan Kinnane, Lina Lee, Charles Mayhew Miller, Ryland Marbutt, Fred Odgaard, and Tiffany Topol.

Barrington's Cabaret will be directed by new Artistic Director Alan Paul, with Katie Spelman choreographing. The production will also feature music direction by Angela Steiner, scenic design by Wilson Chin, costume design by Rodrigo Muñoz, lighting design by Philip Rosenberg, sound design by Ken Travis, and wig design by Mary Martin. The production stage manager is Jason Brouillard.

The musical, which premiered on Broadway in 1966, features a book by Joe Masteroff (from John Van Druten's play I Am a Camera and stories by Christopher Isherwood) and a score with music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb. Set in Weimar-era Germany, the story follows an American writer living in Berlin during the rise of Adolph Hitler. The classic score introduced such songs as "Willkommen," "Don't Tell Mama," and the title number.

Casting has also been announced for Barrington's world premiere of Mark St. Germain’s The Happiest Man on Earth, which opens the 2023 St. Germain Stage season May 24-June 17.

Directed by Ron Lagomarsino, the production will star Kenneth Tigar (Fish in the Dark, The Man in the High Castle) as Holocaust survivor Eddie Jaku, based on his 2020 memoir of the same name, published when Jaku was 100 years old.

The production will also feature scenic design by James Noone, costume design by Johanna Pan, lighting design by María-Cristina Fusté, and sound design by Brendan Aanes. The production stage manager is Leslie Sears.

BSC casting is by McCorkle Casting's Pat McCorkle and Rebecca Weiss.
