Mathilde Dratwa's Dirty Laundry has extended its Off-Broadway run at WP Theater, where performances will now continue through October 27. The show opened October 6 after beginning previews September 21. Rebecca Martinez is directing.
The work follows three individuals who grapple with love, loss, lust, and household chores after the woman who unites them dies. Dirty Laundry is presented by special arrangement with Spark Theatrical.
The production features scenic design by Raul Abrego, costume design by Lux Haac, lighting design by Cat Tate Starmer, sound design by Tosin Olufolabi, hair design by Brittany Hartman, and intimacy direction by Judi Lewis Ockler. Fran Acuña-Almiron is production stage manager, and Celina Revollar is assistant stage manager.
Filmed in 2023, the one-night-only event featured Brian Stokes Mitchell, Audra McDonald, Peter Friedman, and more from the Ahrens and Flaherty musical's original cast.
Surrounded by period-accurate, 19th-century holiday decorations lit via candlelight, the 70-minute production is based on Dickens' own script of the classic.
