July 25 was a special night on Broadway for Back to the Future: The Musical. The new tuner celebrated its arrival on Broadway with a gala performance benefitting the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Not only did the cast and creative team of the show walk the red carpet prior to the show, but so did the original cast of the 1985 movie. Oh, and the time-traveling DeLorean flew in for the event, too.
Check out the video above with Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd meeting their theatre counterparts Casey Likes and Roger Bart, who play Marty McFly and Doc Brown in the musical. Others in attendance included Lea Thompson, Huey Lewis, Robert Zemeckis, and Steven Spielberg.
Though Back to the Future rolled out its red carpet early, the musical's official opening night is still set for August 3—reviews will also be published that evening.
