Broadway Licensing's Broadway Book Club will be curated in 2023 by playwrights Paula Vogel, Lucas Hnath, Jocelyn Bioh, and Lloyd Suh.
Each will curate one of the four shipments included in the subscription program, selecting one of their own works plus six other titles. Altogether, subscribers will receive 28 play scripts representing the best of American theatre from 1936-2022.
"We are overwhelmed and deeply humbled by how popular Broadway Book Club has become with thousands of subscribers around the globe," says Broadway Licensing CEO and Founder Sean Cercone. "Working with seminal voices like Lucas, Jocelyn, Lloyd, and Paula, is pure joy, and being able to share their hand-picked selections, exclusively curated for Broadway Book Club’s subscribers, continues our mission to make everyone in the world a theatre person."
Vogel, Hnath, Bioh, and Suh have all enjoyed recent major productions on Broadway and off. Vogel's How I Learned to Drive, a Pulitzer Prize winner, made its long-awaited Broadway debut last season and earned Vogel a Tony nomination.
