The stage favorites came out to The Town Hall June 3 to celebrate Irish Repertory Theatre at its 2024 gala. Ali Ewoldt, Melissa Errico, Danielle Ferland, Bill Irwin, and more were among the starry roster on hand for Let's Put on a Show! 35 Years of Irish Rep Musicals, which featured performances of songs from musicals performed by the Off-Broadway company over its 35-year history.
Attendees also included Nicholas Barasch (The Butcher Boy, She Loves Me), Tony nominee Beth Fowler (The Boy from Oz, Beauty and the Beast), Donna Kane (Meet Me In St. Louis), David Lutken (Woody Sez), Jon Peterson (Midnight at the Never Get), Jenny Powers (Grease), and Ciarán Sheehan (The Phantom of the Opera).
Among the musicals represented were Finian’s Rainbow, Meet Me in St. Louis, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, and more. The evening was directed and arranged by Charlotte Moore, and featured orchestra and chorus under the direction of Gary Adler, with music consultation by John Bell.
The evening's honorees included Tom Cashin, co-director of Jed Johnson Home and Irish Rep board member, who received the Visionary Leadership Award, and choreographer Barry McNabb, who was named this year's Artistic Honoree.
Barbaralee Diamonstein-Spielvogel is the gala chair and Michael Keogh is the gala vice-chair.
