The world premiere of Alfred Hitchcock Presents - The Musical began performances March 22 at the U.K.'s Theatre Royal Bath, and production photos have been released. An official opening night is set for March 27, with performances to continue through April 12. Tony winner John Doyle (The Color Purple) is directing.

Adapted from the 1955 TV series presenting spooky stories selected by the cinematic master of suspense (Hitchcock directed such screen classics as Psycho, North by Northwest, Rear Window, The Birds, and more), the musical features eight such stories, all pulled from episodes of the series, with a score by the late Steven Lutvak (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder) and a book by Jay Dyer (Californication).

Doyle has assembled a starry cast of West End and Broadway favorites, including Scarlett Strallen (Mary Poppins) as Mary, Sally Ann Triplett (Cabaret) as Lottie Slocomb and Sadie Grimes, Nicola Hughes (Porgy & Bess) as Eve and Arthur’s Mother, Gary Milner (Kiss Me, Kate) as Detective Novak and Roman, Damian Humbley (Merrily We Roll Along) as Courtney, Alistair Brammer (Miss Saigon) as Richard and Ray, Mark Meadows (Quiz) as Maloney and Waterbury, Landi Oshinowo (Matilda) as Blanche and Millie’s Mama, Liam Tamne (Prince of Egypt) as Fred and Carl, Joaquin Pedro Valdes (Death Note: The Musical) as Michael and Deitz, Jade Oswald (Treason) as Lisa and Nurse Thornhill, Matthew Caputo (The Creakers) as Tommy, Ahmed Hamad (A Christmas Carol) as Arthur and Jerome, and Keanna Bloomfield (My Fair Lady) as Millie. Georgia Mann, Ritesh Manugula, Choolwe Lain Muntanga, Matt Pettifor, and Jack Reitman round out the company. Casting is by Ginny Schiller and Matthew Iliffe.

The production also features set design by Doyle and David L. Arsenault, costume design by Jonathan Lipman, lighting design by Johanna Town, sound design by Tom Marshall, wig design by Sam Cox, music supervision by Catherine Jayes, orchestrations by Jason Carr, and music direction by Benjamin Holder.
