The new cast includes Desmonda Cathabel (Aladdin) as Eurydice, Olivier nominee Victoria Hamilton-Barritt (Cinderella) as Persephone, Chris Jarman (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) as Hades, Olivier nominee Cedric Neal (Guys & Dolls) as Hermes, and Dylan Wood, returning as Orpheus.
Melanie Bright and Lauran Rae will join Allie Daniel as the Fates; Femi Akinfolarin, Michelle Andrews, Ollie Bingham, Laura Delany, and Sebastian Lim-Seet will play the Workers; and Lucinda Buckley, Juan Jackson, Oisín Nolan-Power, Lindo Shinda, and Jasmine Triadi will be swings.
This new cast will succeed original National Theatre and Broadway stars Reeve Carney as Orpheus, André De Shields as Hermes, Amber Gray as Persephone, and Eva Noblezada as Eurydice, along with Phillip Boykin as Hades. Those actors joined the West End company February 11 for a limited engagement through March 9. The February 28 and March 1 performances will be filmed for a later release. Original National Theatre and Broadway Patrick Page (who plays Hades) will perform at the filmed performances but no other due to an injury.
