From a real-life couple to iconic composers, Playbill gives a standing ovation to Broadway's brightest born in March.

There is so much to celebrate in the month of March! The worst of winter is behind us, and the lights continue to rise on new productions of plays and musicals on the Broadway stage. In addition to being Women's History Month, March is a special month for a host of amazing artists who have graced the Main Stem. Warm up your singing voices and light some candles for the gifted performers, directors, and playwrights who celebrate their birthdays this month.

Starting off the month is Lindsay Mendez (soon-to-be-seen as one of Broadway's Leading LadiesMerrily We Roll Along), Jeanna de Waal (Diana), Bryan Batt (La Cage aux Folles), and Lupita Nyong'o (upcoming in Shakespeare in the Park's Twelfth NightEclipsed) whose birthdays fall on March 1. 

March 4 is a remarkable day for Lilli Cooper (The CottagePOTUS,) and Wade McCollum (soon-to-be-seen in Floyd CollinsWater for Elephants) as they celebrate their birthdays.

We'll all wear our hearts upon our sleeves for Andrew Burnap (Othello, which opens on Broadway this month and the Snow White film) on his March 5 birthday.

Wear pink and green on March 6 for composer-lyricist Stephen Schwartz (Queen of VersaillesWicked) in celebration of his birthday. 

Director-choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler (Hamilton), Donna Murphy (Hello, Dolly!), and George Salazar (Be More Chill) will turn another year older March 7.

This March 8, Kit Connor (Romeo + Juliet) is the sun as he celebrates his birthday.

Eureka! It's Thomas Middleditch's (Eureka Day) birthday March 10.

Tony and Olivier Award winner Jodie Comer (Prima Facie) celebrates her birthday March 11.

Life is a cabaret for the one and only Liza Minnelli (ChicagoThe ActVictor / VictoriaCabaret) on her March 12 birthday.

It's playwright Dominique Morisseau's (Ain't Too ProudSkeleton Crew) lucky birthday March 13.

Long live Adrianna Hicks (Some Like it HotSIX: The Musical) as she celebrates her March 15 birthday. 

On March 16, our heart beats for Victor Garber (Hello, Dolly!Damn YankeesNoises Off) and Amber Iman (Lempicka and the upcoming Off-Broadway musical Goddess). 

Save one of the best pies in New York for Sutton Foster (Once Upon a MattressThe Music Man), Vanessa Williams (A Wonderful World: The Louis Armstrong Musical, West End's extended The Devil Wears Prada Musical), John Kander (Chicago, Cabaret), and Eva Noblezada (upcoming in Cabaret, currently in West End's Hadestown) on March 18.

Director Maria Friedman (Merrily We Roll Along) will be "Growing Up" alongside Glenn Close (Sunset Boulevard) on their March 19 birthday.

On March 20, bake a cake for Chip Zien (Harmony, Into the Woods).

March 21 produced some incredible Broadway artists in Santino Fontana (TootsieRodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella), Matthew Broderick (Plaza SuiteThe Producers), and Rosie O'Donnell (Fiddler on the RoofTaboo).

Lift your razors high and illuminate your chandeliers for two musical theatre titans: the late great Stephen Sondheim (Merrily We Roll Along, Sweeney Todd) and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber (Sunset BoulevardPhantom of the Opera) on March 22.
