Rodney Ingram

The Phantom of the Opera’s Rodney Ingram takes over this week’s Playbill Mixtape to share the tunes he uses during his pre-show ritual at Broadway’s Majestic Theatre. Ingram made his Broadway debut as the understudy for Aladdin in Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway. Now as the Vicomte de Chagny, Ingram goes from street rat to sophisticated patron. He joined the cast of Broadway’s longest-running show in history March 20, 2017 and continues as part of the 30th anniversary cast. In honor of the momentous occasion, all we asked of Ingram was to provide the tunes he takes in so you can put yourself in Raoul’s shoes, too.

“Here is a list of ten great, upbeat songs that always lift my spirits,” says Ingram. “Mostly these are Latin songs: Puerto Rican, Cuban, Mexican, Brazilian!”
