Among the shows canceled were Aladdin, Les Misérables, and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. Several productions — including Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Thriller Live, and Murder Ballad delayed their start time, according to a tweet from London Theatre Direct.

Producers of Disney's Aladdin posted on Twitter: “Due to the ongoing power cut in Central London we regret that tonight's performance has been cancelled. Tickets will be refunded. Please refer to your original point of purchase for full details. We regret any disappointment or inconvenience caused by this unavoidable occurrence. Thank you.” Approximately 2,300 properties were affected by the blackout. A spokesperson for UK Power Networks told the BBC, “An underground electricity cable has faulted on our high voltage network causing an area wide power cut.”
Power was not restored fully until 9:15 PM London time.
All productions will play November 26 on their normal schedule.
