Bruce Norris' Pulitzer- and Tony–winning play Clybourne Park is headed to the big screen, according to a report in Deadline. The film will star Broadway alum Sarah Paulson, Uzo Aduba, Anthony Mackie, and Nick Robinson, along with Martin Freeman and Hillary Baack.

Norris has adapted his own work for the screenplay, and Pam MacKinnon, who helmed the play's 2010 Off-Broadway premiere and its 2012 Broadway transfer, will direct in her feature film debut. Freeman also has a history with the piece, having appeared in its U.K. premiere at the Royal Court Theatre in 2010.

A riff on Lorraine Hansberry's landmark 1959 play A Raisin in the Sun, Clybourne Park follows events happening contemporaneously with the original play, centering on the white neighborhood into which Hansberry's Younger family is poised to move; and 50 years later in 2009, as community members gather to discuss gentrification and race relations in the transformed neighborhood. On stage, the seven-member cast all played multiple roles across the two eras depicted. Characters have not been revealed for the film casting.
