Performances continue in Glencoe, Illinois, for the Writers Theatre production of Next to Normal, directed by Tony winner David Cromer. Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey’s Tony and Pulitzer-winning musical opened May 15 and will continue through June 16.
Next to Normal sheds light on mental illness in contemporary America as a family struggles to hold its center. The cast of the Cromer-helmed production is made up of Keely Vasquez (Diana), David Schlumpf (Dan), Kyrie Courter (Natalie), Liam Oh (Gabe), Alex Levy (Henry), and Gabriel Ruiz (Dr. Madden/Dr. Fine).
