The Times Square Alliance's Solstice in Times Square: Mind Over Madness Yoga is back for its 20th year, with registration now open.
Set for June 21, the all-day event sees yogis gather in New York City's Times Square for a day of outdoor yoga in celebration of the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year. To register for the in-person classes, visit TSQ.org.
“Having just welcomed over 400,000 people in one day for the first time since the pandemic, it is time for us to celebrate the sun and the summer season to come,” says TSA President Tom Harris. “We look forward to welcoming yogis from all over the country to find peace in the, once again, busiest place on the planet, and encourage them to stay in our hotels, eat in our restaurants, and enjoy a Broadway show.”
Instructors for the event are set to include Neeti Narula (7:30–8:30 AM), Ruchika Lal (9:30–10:30 AM), event co-founder Douglass Stewart (11:30 AM–12:30 PM), Maria Margolies (1:30–2:30 PM), Tricia Donegan (3:30–4:30 PM), Dr. Chelsea Jackson Roberts (5:30–6:30 PM), and Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman Yee (7:30–8:30 PM). Registered participants who attend will receive a free yoga mat courtesy of Gaiam.
Those unable to attend in person are invited to stream classes via TSQ.org, YouTube, or the Times Square Facebook page.
