Video See Jesse Williams Discover a Swedish Musician in His Ancestry in Finding Your Roots

The 10th Anniversary Season of the documentary series is currently running on PBS.

Tony nominee Jesse Williams (Take Me Out) gets a few surprises on the February 6 episode of Finding Your Roots, the PBS documentary series that takes a deep dive into celebrities' ancestry, often revealing unknown stories about their family histories.

In the clip above, host Henry Louis Gates, Jr. shares the discovery of a Swedish ancestor who studied at the Royal Music Academy in Stockholm. Williams is quietly contemplative as he imagines the farm girl who left her home at age 16 pursuing a life in the arts.

The February 6 episode of Finding Your Roots also features journalist Sunny Houston. Now in its 10th season, this year the series will welcome its first non-celebrity participants.

Other celebrity guests for Season 10 include Danielle Brooks, Anthony Ramos, Valerie Bertinelli, LeVar Burton, Ciara, Michael Douglas, Lena Dunham, Brendan Fraser, Sammy Hagar, Sunny Hostin, Tracy Morgan, Alanis Morissette, Ed O’Neill, Bob Odenkirk, Iliza Shlesinger, Wes Studi, and Dionne Warwick.
