Casting is now complete for the new revival of Kenneth Lonergan's Hold On to Me Darling, playing Off-Broadway's Lucille Lortel Theatre beginning September 24 and opening October 16. The production will continue for a 13-week limited run, with a final performance set for December 22.
Film star Adam Driver, as previously reported, will star as country music icon Strings McCrane, who abandons
the limelight to return to his small Tennessee hometown after the death
of his mother.
Joining Driver in the company will be the newly announced Heather Burns as Nancy, Adelaide Clemens as Essie, Keith Nobbs as Jimmy, CJ Wilson as Duke, and Frank Wood as Mitch.
Driver is a 2012 Lucille Lortel Award winner for his performance in Look Back in Anger and picked up a Tony nod for his Broadway work in 2019's Burn This.
Neil Pepe is directing, with a creative team including scenic
designer Walt Spangler, costume designers Suttirat Larlarb and Lizzie Donelan, lighting
designer Tyler Micoleau, and sound designer David Van Tiegham. Wagner
Johnson Productions is general managing. Casting is by The Telsey Office's Will Cantler and Karyn Casl.
