The Jamie Lloyd Company's upcoming production of William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, starring Tom Hiddleston and Hayley Atwell, has found its full company.
Running in London at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, the production will open February 19 after beginning previews February 10. The production will run through April 5.
Directed by Jamie Lloyd (Sunset Boulevard), the production will star Hiddleston as Benedick and Atwell as Beatrice, with Mara Huf as Hero, Forbes Masson as Leonato, Phillip Olagoke as Friar Francis, Mason Alexander Park as Margaret, James Phoon as Claudio, Tim Steed as Don John, Mika Onyx Johnson as Borachio, and Gerald Kyd as Don Pedro.
Much Ado About Nothing is the second production in The Jamie Lloyd Company’s season of Shakespeare at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, which began with The Tempest starring Sigourney Weaver. As done for The Tempest, Much Ado About Nothing will offer 25,000 tickets at £25 for audience members under 30, key workers, and those receiving government benefits.
The creative team for the production will consist of set and costume designer Soutra Gilmour, lighting designer Jon Clark, sound designers and composers Ben and Max Ringham, movement director Fabian Aloise, casting director Stuart Burt, wigs, hair and makeup designer Carole Hancock, intimacy coordinator Ingrid Mackinnon, and prop supervisor Fahmida Bakht.
