Stephen Daldry's revolutionary production of J.B. Priestley's 1945 play An Inspector Calls, first staged at the National in 1992 before transferring to the West End and subsequently Broadway in 1994, where it won the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play, is to return to the West End.

It will begin performances November 4 prior to an official opening November 10, for a run through February 4, 2017.

This marks the 70th anniversary of the first U.K. staging of the play and the 25th anniversary of its first appearance at the National Theatre.

Since 1992, Daldry’s production of An Inspector Calls has won a total of 19 major awards, including four Tony Awards and three Olivier Awards, and has played to more than four million theatregoers worldwide.
