A host of Broadway favorites will join social media influencer Trisha Paytas when she makes her Broadway debut with Trisha Paytas’ Big Broadway Dream.
Playing Broadway's St. James Theatre February 3 at 8 PM, the show
will feature Paytas joined by the newly announced Tony winner Sutton Foster (Once Upon a Mattress), Tony winner Ben Platt (Parade), Joy Woods (Gypsy), and Golden Globe Award winner Rachel Zegler (Romeo + Juliet).
The cast will also have an ensemble led by Amber Ardolino and featuring Morgan Bryant, Beau Harmon, Joshua Dawson, Lena Matthews, Jimena Flores Sanchez, and Michael Santomassimo. The performance will also stream live via StagePilot.
"I couldn’t be more thrilled. Of all my dreams, this one is the biggest. I didn’t know how it would happen, but I always felt it would,” said Paytas in an earlier statement. “I’m thankful. Grateful. Humbled. I can’t wait to perform with so many talented people on a Broadway stage. Making my Broadway debut is what I’m looking forward to most in 2025. I hope people will find inspiration that you truly can do anything you want in life. I’ve been told so many times this would never happen. And now it is! Hopefully it’s just the beginning of my New York adventure."
Paytas has spent her online life specializing in confessional-style
video blogs, podcasts, and lifestyle content. Her open, bare-it-all
style has regularly seen her under fire for statements critics have
characterized as racist, antisemitic, homophobic, transphobic, and
ableist, though Paytas has defended them as a promotional strategy. But
despite (or perhaps because of) that messiness, Paytas has a devoted
online following, including 1.3 million followers on Instagram, and
almost 10 million on TikTok.
Trisha Paytas’ Big Broadway Dream will be directed by
Skylar Fox and choreographed by Sarah Meahl. ShowTown Theatricals/Samuel Dallas will
serve as general manager, and Juniper Street Productions will serve as production manager.
The evening will also feature additional material by Kelsey Fox & Simon Henriques, music by composer Joriah Kwame, production design by Caite Hevner, costume design by Sarafina Bush, lighting design by Cory Pattak, sound design by Joshua D. Reid, music coordination by Michael Aarons, and music supervision, orchestrations, and arrangements by Patrick Sulken. Fatimah Amill will serve as production stage manager.
The production is produced by Kobi Kassal and Benson Drive Productions (George Strus, CEO) in association with Carson Gleberman and Caitlin Berg.
Tickets for the live stream are available at TrishaOnBroadway.com. Although the Broadway performance is sold out, a sweepstakes is offering a free pair of front-row tickets. Visit GiveButter.com/TrishaSweepstakes.
