The North American tour of Disney’s The Lion King will welcome Syndee Winters back to the role of Nala beginning August 22 and continuing through October 29.
Winters, who first played Nala on tour from 2010–2013 and subsequently made her Broadway debut in the role in 2012, will play engagements in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Monterrey, Mexico; Lubbock, Texas; and Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her other credits include lead roles in Motown the Musical, Pippin, Jesus Christ Superstar on NBC, and Hamilton.
Winters will join current tour cast members Peter Hargrave as Scar, Gerald Ramsey as Mufasa, Gugwana Dlamini as Rafiki, Nick Cordileone as Timon, Nick LaMedica as Zazu, John E. Brady as Pumbaa, Darian Sanders as Simba, Forest VanDyke as Banzai, Martina Sykes as Shenzi, and Robbie Swift as Ed plus Jackson Hayes and Mason Lawson, who alternate in the role of Young Simba, and Jaxyn Damasco and Aniya Simone, who alternate in the role of Young Nala.

The Lion King has been touring North America for more than 21 years, playing nearly 10,000 performances during more than 240 engagements in over 90 cities to more than 23 million theatregoers.
The Disney musical won six 1998 Tony Awards: Best Musical, Best Scenic Design (Richard Hudson), Best Costume Design (Julie Taymor), Best Lighting Design (Donald Holder), Best Choreography (Garth Fagan), and Best Direction of a Musical.
The hit musical continues on Broadway at the Minskoff Theatre.
