News Tap Dance Kid Star Named Host of "Funniest Home Videos" Alfonso Ribeiro, who starred in Broadway's The Tap Dance Kid in 1983 at age 12, has been named the new host of the long-running TV series "American's Funniest Home Videos," Variety reported.

Ribeiro, who is better known to TV audiences as the stuck-up "Carlton" opposite Will Smith on another long-running TV show, "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," will replace longtime host Tom Bergeron on the "AFHV," which finished its 25th anniversary season on Sunday.

Rebeiro will begin taping new shows in August for broadcast this fall.
