For the newest episode of The Broadway Cast, podcast host Ben Cameron left the studio and took to the streets of Broadway for the inaugural Chita Rivera Awards. Formerly named the Astaire Awards (for Fred and Adele Astaire), the evening was a celebration of Rivera and her many accomplishments, as well as an awards ceremony for dance on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and on screen.
Join Cameron as he talks to the stars on the red carpet and at the after party. Hear live responses from David Dorfman, choreographer for Indecent; actor and dancer Bebe Neuwirth; Prince of Broadway’s tap-dancing star, Tony Yazbeck; Christine Cornish Smith, who was nominated for her performance in Cats; Tony winner Karen Ziemba; and the legendary Rivera herself, among many more.
Each episode of The Broadway Cast, hosted by Broadway vet Cameron (Wicked, Aida), features a mix of guests who make Broadway what it is: the stars, the creatives, the notable movers and shakers, and more.
Next year, Carnegie Hall's house band will perform Bernstein’s “Kaddish” Symphony, unfinished works by Schubert, and the final concert of Conductor Bernard Labadie.
