The encore run comes on the heels of its Broadway transfer.

Matthew Spangler'sThe Kite Runner will return to the U.K. this spring on the heels of its 2022 Broadway run. Adapted from Khaled Hosseini's novel, the play will tour the U.K throughout 2024, making its first stop at the Waterside Theatre in Aylesbury on March 7, before heading to Richmond, Bath, and more.
The work follows Amir from childhood in Kabul, Afghanistan to adulthood. As a young boy, Amir finds ways of escaping the terrible events unfolding around him, but as he grows up, he must face his past—and tries to find atonement.
The production arrived on Broadway in 2022 following its premiere in the U.K., including two runs in London’s West End.
Casting and further creative team information will be announced at a later date. The U.K. tour is produced by Martin Dodd for U.K. Productions and Stuart Galbraith for Kilimanjaro Productions.
Edelstein will directs a cast of 30, with nearly 1,000 San Diegans participating directly in the milestone production that will mark the completion of the Bard’s canon at the venue.
